Romain Joly is an illustrator who adds realistic elements to his sketches to create imaginative and entertaining pictures. In 2020, he started producing these illustrations while experimenting during his COVID captivity. DeMilked spoke with the artist, who said the lockdown was when he created his first sketches. He remarked, “I liked it, and I still do it today.
The illustrator said, “I pay close attention to my surroundings to discover inspiration. I also make an effort to carve out time to allow my mind to wander and to ponder, for example, by taking a walk. Otherwise, I frequently observe the work of other artists and jot down all of my ideas in a notebook to ensure that I don’t forget them. The drawing has to be done next, and I try many things until I discover one I like. Additionally, I make an effort to take attractive images.
