50 of the year’s most beautiful travel photos

The Travel Photographer of the Year Awards (TPOTY) began in 2003 as an annual picture competition. Photographers worldwide submit their finest travel images every year, and the winners of this year’s competition were revealed recently.

A panel chose the winners from over 20,000 photographs submitted by photographers from 142 countries. Stefano Pensotti took home the title of Travel Photographer of the Year this year, but the runner-ups’ images were equally impressive. Please take a look at them in the gallery below!
