We need our pets, and they need us. Each and every one of these animals deserve a shot at a caring family, a cozy bed, and a stomach stuffed with wholesome food. Sadly, there are millions of abandoned animals in shelters waiting for their new heroes to open their hearts and their doors so they can save them from suffering.
It’s quite wonderful to witness how much a little love can alter a neglected or abandoned animal’s course in life. So, in honor of these adorable misfits and the rescuers who welcomed them into their everlasting homes, the animal-loving staff at Bored Panda wants to celebrate them. We continue our monthly feature, which features adorably sweet images of recently acquired pets that will make you melt.
#1 Hello everyone! I just rescued this cute little guy, but I don’t know what to call him. I already have my girl Shelly, and I want to give him a unique name.
#14 My adopted dog usually flees whenever I try to take a photo of him because his previous home was abusive, but not this time! I Wanted To Show Someone Because I Actually Love How This Turned Out.
#21 Greetings from home, Nyx, my one-eyed darling! It’s amazing that nobody wanted to adopt a black cat with one eye, but we were meant to be friends, therefore she’s been the best friend ever!
#34 Good Nicknames for Seraphina? The baby on the left is Seraphina, who I adopted from my workplace! There is no name yet for the person to the right.
#35 This Week, Adopt This Little Rescue. She gave birth to a still-born puppy, has ear infections, and has very little muscle mass due to untreated gum disease that caused most of her teeth to be removed.
#38 My Two Return Visits To The Rescue Shelter. welcome Snowball. I’m not a big fan of cats. I already had three dogs, but felt I needed a cat for some reason. A stunning Turkish Angora male who had already been returned to the shelter twice was present. I Don’t Know Why, But He’s A Great Addition To My Family
#42 This Poor Old Boy Had Been At The Shelter For A While And I Couldn’t Take It Anymore, So 2 Days Ago I Adopted Him And He’s Been Thanking Me Every Second Since
#48 Just today saved this girl. Living alone on firewood, weeping for days, and covered with fleas. Her Secure, Comfortable, Flea-Free Sleep! Observe Those Teeth!
#50 Meet Potato, the biggest greyhound ever; I’m sad about his aging. Before we saved him, his abusers left him with a damaged spine, worn teeth, and a sore groin tendon. Please send him positive energy; he needs it desperately.
